A start of a new chapter (Chapter Nine)

The section ahead resumes the story of Dave, the main character. In the part coming ahead, I will use a writing technique called ‘Embedded Narrative': A Book within a book. This is the start of a new section of my Book (Master). For those of you visiting for the first time, kindly read the rest of the novel. You can find the Medium version at the end. The Last Jump

“Let’s jump off this cliff”, said Dave.
“No we cannot do it, babe.”

“We need to do it, otherwise they will catch us.”
"Oh, I almost forgot--"

 Amy caught a glimpse of Dave’s screen when he went out to get breakfast for the two. She got up late so Dave wanted to give her a surprise with something different. 

“Whoa, that is something unique this time.”, she thought. 

Dave did not usually like writing about suspense or thrillers. He always focused on one genre and made the story so versified that the reader could not judge how intensified it was yet still they would drown into a world of their own.

“He was never a slow writer. I wonder what made him leave his workstation like this after writing two lines.”

Anyways, Amy went to take a cold shower. She had been feeling stressed the whole day as she was searching for a gift for Dave, wanting to give him “something special” for his birthday.

As she was taking the shower, she thought of ways and tricks to make the birthday dinner more and more romantic for Dave as she wanted him to feel significant that day. 
Ever since Amy and Dave tied the knot, they did not completely have had a chance to open up to each other. Both of them were busy with their own stuff. 

He was single-handedly managing his own writing business which spread over multiple continents. On the other hand, Amy was working on a plethora of freelance projects and had many meetings with her business clients. They seldom had a chance to show each other their emotional side. 

Amy, while putting the shampoo on her hair and starting the cold shower system, remembered the first time Dave and herself met each other.
