For Her - Who Taught Me To Smile

When I started writing poetry in my days,

The poems were just for you.

You made me wonder about myself,

Whilst making my heart jiggle.

When we were close,

I dreamt of us.

I dream of us.

You were my light

and my darkness too.

I took shelter in your eyes

And your soul was my world.

Yes, its for you, my friend.

You, who taught me how to smile.

My precious.

How to Use AI Tools for Homework and Study in 2025

Let’s be honest, school in 2025 can feel like a full-time job.

There are assignments, quizzes, group projects, and that one teacher who still expects you to spend hours researching everything on your own.

It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed sometimes. But here’s the great news: AI is now your ultimate study partner.

Technology is growing faster than ever, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an essential part of every student’s toolkit. In 2025, using AI for homework and studying isn’t just about saving time; it’s about studying smarter, learning faster, and staying organized.

1. AI: Your Personal “Explain Like I’m Five” Teacher

Ever read a textbook chapter and felt like it was written in another language?
That’s where AI tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Perplexity AI come to the rescue.

Just type something like:

“Explain photosynthesis in simple words with examples.”

And instantly, you’ll get an easy-to-understand explanation.
It’s like asking a friendly tutor who never gets tired of your questions.

👉 Tip: Don’t just copy the answer; read it, understand it, and make it your own.

2. Writing Assignments Made Easy ✍️

Essay due tomorrow? No stress.
AI tools such as Grammarly, QuillBot, or ChatGPT can help you polish your writing, fix grammar errors, and make your essay sound clear and professional.

They won’t write the paper for you, but they’ll make sure what you write looks great.

3. Instant Notes (Because Time Is Precious)

Not everyone enjoys writing long notes. If you’d rather focus on understanding than rewriting, let AI help.

With tools like Notion AI, Scholar AI, or ChatGPT, you can turn long paragraphs into short, organized study notes.

Try typing:

“Summarize this chapter into short notes for quick revision.”

And you’ll have clear, bullet-style notes ready to review anytime.

4. AI Study Planners That Actually Work

If you always promise yourself to “start studying at 8 PM” and somehow it’s already 11 PM, you’re not alone. 😅

AI-powered tools like Notion, Todoist, or Google Bard can help you create realistic, personalized study plans.

Example:

“Make a 2-hour study plan with 15-minute breaks.”

You’ll instantly get a balanced schedule that helps you stay productive without burning out.

5. AI Tutors: Always Available, Always Patient

Meet your digital tutors: Khanmigo, Quizlet AI, and Socratic.
They can explain difficult topics, test your knowledge with quizzes, and help you learn step by step.

The best part? They’re available anytime you need them, even for those late-night study sessions.

Final Thought 💡

AI isn’t here to replace your effort; it’s here to enhance how you learn.
Use it wisely, stay curious, and let technology make your study life easier, smarter, and more creative.

How To Relax Yourself While Working Nights in 2025

Working night shifts can be very physically demanding as well as mentally exhausting. While the quiet and solitude of the night appears to be peaceful, the disruption of the natural sleep-wake of the body can lead to certain health issues including fatigue, stress, insomnia etc. automatically leading to decreased productivity.

However, the selection of the right techniques and lifestyle adjustments can help you learn to relax and maintain balance even while working through the night. The right habits and mindset make it possible to stay calm, comfortable and relaxed during the night shifts without letting exhaustion take over.

One of the most important steps that needs to be taken to feel relaxed while working at night is to ensure that you are getting enough rest during the day. Since sunlight can interfere with the natural ability of the body to produce melatonin (a hormone that regulates the sleep), it is necessary to create a dark and quiet sleep environment. Blackout curtains, eye masks, ear plugs, cosy atmosphere, scented candles, aromatherapy products etc. can help you to rest better.

Do not forget to put your phone on silent and inform your family members or the people around you about your sleeping schedule for the purpose of avoiding any kind of disruption. As there is a famous saying ‘Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together’. Quality rest is the foundation of a healthy night shift routine.

Apart from this, during work hours, take short breaks that enable you to keep your energy level steady. It can be really straining for your body to sit or stand in one place for long and lengthy time periods. So, try to move around, stretch or take e brief walk.

Even a few minutes of deep breathing can help to keep your nerves calm and restore focus. A quote that fits here perfectly says, ‘Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes.... including you’. Stepping away for a short while will be helpful for your mind and body reset.

Furthermore, eating light and nutritious meals can also make a remarkable difference. Heavy and greasy foods can drain your energy and make you feel sleepy and sluggish. On the other hand, lighter snacks such as fruits, nuts, yogurt etc. keep you energized. Simultaneously, staying hydrated is equally important. Drink plenty of water throughout your shift.

Though caffeine may seem like a saviour, it is best to consume it in moderate amount as it too much caffeine make it harder to sleep later. Try taking herbal teas such as chamomile or peppermint that can be soothing and help you relax naturally.

Additionally, a positive work environment can impact your mood greatly. Keep your workplace tidy, comfortable and will lit. It will make a difference. If possible, try playing some soft music or engage in light-hearted conversations with your coworkers to stay cheerful. A friendly and positive environment and work culture help to make long hours more bearable.

Likewise, incorporation of relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation or mindfulness into your daily routine will further enhance your mental and emotional well-being. These activities help to lower stress, regulate breathing and keep your mind balanced even during the tiring hours.

All in all, working in night shifts do not have to mean constant stress or fatigue. By achieving a balanced lifestyle and taking small steps towards relaxation, you can protect your health and improve your overall performance. A very famous quote by Dalai Lama says, ‘With calm and mindful care, you can truly learn to relax and thrive, even through the quiet hours

How Roots Millennium Made Me a Better Human

Back in 2014, I have had people telling me not to join Roots Millennium Schools. I always joined the side that was "badnaam-e-zamanah" and at that time, that institute was Roots.

Now talking about Roots, we are not only mentioning Roots Millennium but we also should talk a bit about Roots IVY and MIUC too, as they are inter-related by strong, deep and emotional famililial ties.

However, coming back to the subject matter, I'd like to clarify that this essay/post/article of mine has nothing whatsoever to do with myself degrading other institutes as the topic here is to write solely about Roots Millennium Schools (a second home of mine back in 2017).

Moreover, back in 2014, I was under the impression that he who joins Roots becomes either a "drug-addict", or an adulterer, which was not the norm in 2014 in general.

I also tend to follow the political ideology of Imran Khan Niazi at that time - as he was extremely popular and had had a very charismatic political and emotional affect on all of the citizens of Pakistan. Sadly for him, and fortunately for Pakistan, the current govermment model is what suits best in the affairs of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. He should make good with the current government of Pakistan, for the sake of the stability of Pakistan.

My political idol has always had had been Asif Ali Zardari and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Sb as the most inspiring words Bhutto Sahib said were in that UN meeting where he threatened them to their face. He was the most brave human I ever read about or saw. Talking about favorite personalities, I'd also love to mention Sir Ayub Khan over here for his "Decade Of Development" and then I'd also like to menion Sir Liaqut Ali Khan (although not perfect) for his bravery.

Pakistan is a secular country, and we can practice any religion that we would like to. I did not say it, neither did any teacher of any institute or a political leader. However, the father of Pakistan "Muhammad Ali Jinnah" Sb (will write a separate article on him as it will take ages for me to write even one page about him and Mahatma Ghandhi ji) said that. I just paraphrased it.

Yes, Roots. I almost went off-topic again. Dear Reader, that was a very nice catch.

Next chapter on its way (took me 3-4 working days to write even this lol)

What I learned about Roots - a personal, spiritual, relegious and somewhat political experience?

Master - Chapter Ten (Part two)

You've been living for others from a very long time. Its time to start living for yourself for change. Be Selfish.

Dave found himself in front of Paul's tombstone, immersed in tears. He could not think straight. Dave's memories prevailed his body, mind and soul and he felt like he was traveling through time. It was as if the limitations of time and space were no longer applicable to his body.

He started to remember the last words that his Master (Paul) said to him,

"You've been living for others from a very long time. Its time to start living for yourself for change. Be Selfish. You will never make out of this material world alive."

Dave then remembers a past lecture of Philosophy that he left mid-semester whilst he was pursuing his Bachelors.

It was the first lecture. The teacher's name was Mr. Wilson. He was always seen in a proper formal attire. A black tie, blue coat and a white shirt. Dave had had a lot of questions to ask Mr. Wilson, as his Master recently had passed on so he had no clue as to what he should have been doing with his life.

The First Philosophical Lecture

Read on for the next part.

I will be summing up this book in the next three chapters, InshaAllah.

Master - Chapter Ten

Unspoken Words

Dave stands before the iron gates of an old cemetry, holding a copy of his novel "Master" by his heart, with his heartbeat fluctuating, as he is in a complete nostalgia.

He could hear his vibrating heartbeat and his mind was blank. He could not decide whether to go inside the cemetry and pay Paul a visit or not. A cool breeze came the way of Dave and he suddenly gave in to a memory.

Dave is sitting with Paul at a restaurant. They are waiting for the food to arrive. Paul talks about his philosophy and asks Dave for ideas for his upcoming book. That's right, Paul was also a writer and Dave mostly inhereted the writing skills from his Master.

"What should I write about, man? I've written so many stories and novels that I can't even figure out how to continue."

"Write about spirituality for a change."

"Hahahaaha! I'd love to, but my readers won't understand it."

"I thought you never wrote for the readers. You said that you write for yourself."

"Yeah, but I'm kinda thinking of making this book a bestseller."

The waiter arrives with the food, places it on the table and Paul starts sipping the wine the waiter presented to him. Like always, he would sniff the wine before taking a sip.

Dave proceeded to have a sip too, and they started talking about life in general. Dave was always interested in Paul's work and saw him as an idol.

"I'm planning on writing a book too.", says Dave.

"I would love to read it."

"But I have a lot of things going on in my mind right now. I have a lot of ideas. Don't know where to begin."

"Just start writing and the ideas will follow you."

Suddenly, Dave's memory faded and he wept, thinking of his Master. He decided to go inside the cemetry.

"Its Been Five Years Now" said Dave.

End of Chapter Ten (part one).... please keep visiting my blog for the next part.

What If Animals Could Talk?

What if animals could talk—would we still eat them?

Have you ever looked into your pet’s eyes and wondered what they would say if they could talk? Now, imagine this ability extended to every animal on Earth. Cows, chickens, pigs, fish, even insects—suddenly able to communicate with us in words we understand. It’s a wild thought, but one worth exploring. If animals had voices, how would it change the way we view them? More importantly, would we still eat them?

In this article, we’ll dive into the emotional, ethical, cultural, and practical aspects of this hypothetical world. Let’s imagine, explore, and reflect.

The Power of a Voice

Right now, animals communicate through body language, sounds, and behavior. But humans don’t always recognize or understand these cues. Giving animals the ability to talk changes everything.

Think about this scenario:
You walk into a farm, and a cow turns to you and says, “Please don’t take my baby.”
Or a chicken says, “I’m scared. Why are you doing this to me?”

Words have power. Voice gives identity. If animals could express fear, sadness, pain, or joy in human language, it would be hard to ignore.

Would Our Eating Habits Change?

Let’s be honest—many people already feel guilty about eating meat. That’s why movements like veganism and vegetarianism continue to grow. Now imagine your burger saying, “I used to run through fields with my friends.”

Here’s how talking animals might affect our diets:

1. Emotional Connection

When something talks to you, it forms a connection. You’re less likely to harm or kill something that can hold a conversation.

  • People might stop eating meat out of empathy.

  • Kids growing up with talking animals would likely see them as equals.

  • Meat would no longer feel like a “product”—it would feel like a lost life.

2. Ethical Awakening

We already debate animal rights, but if animals could speak for themselves, the conversation would shift drastically.

  • Animals could protest their treatment in farms and slaughterhouses.

  • They could demand freedom or better living conditions.

  • Governments might need to give animals legal rights.

It would become difficult—if not impossible—to treat animals as property.

3. Cultural Impact

Meat is a major part of many cultures and traditions. Talking animals could cause:

  • Massive cultural reevaluations

  • Religious discussions about sacrifice and consumption

  • A shift in rituals involving animals

Some societies may stop eating meat altogether. Others may only eat animals who give consent—which opens another ethical can of worms.

Would Any Meat Still Be Acceptable?

Surprisingly, not all meat-eating would necessarily stop. Some people might justify it in new ways:

1. Animals That Volunteer?

What if some animals said, “I’m old and ready. It’s okay if you eat me.” Would that make it acceptable?

  • People might consider “voluntary consumption” ethical.

  • There could be interviews or signed agreements before animals are slaughtered (as bizarre as that sounds).

  • Labels like “consensual meat” might appear on packaging.

2. Animals with Limited Intelligence

Some might argue that only animals with advanced speech should be spared. Insects or fish, for example, might still be eaten if they can’t communicate as clearly. But this argument would be controversial and debated globally.

Could Talking Animals Change the Food Industry?

Absolutely. The entire food system would face disruption.

1. Rise of Plant-Based and Lab-Grown Alternatives

As public demand for meat decreases, alternatives would boom:

  • Brands like Beyond Meat, Impossible Foods, and Quorn would grow rapidly.

  • Lab-grown meat, which doesn’t involve killing an animal, could become the norm.

  • New startups might develop meat-like textures from mushrooms, algae, or plants.

2. Farming Would Be Transformed

  • Traditional slaughterhouses would likely shut down or shift to plant-based processing.

  • Animal farms could turn into animal sanctuaries.

  • Livestock may become workers, performers, or even political voices.

Talking animals might even unionize!

Tools and Resources You Can Explore

Want to explore this topic further or reduce meat in your own diet? Here are some tools and platforms:

Apps to Try:

  • HappyCow: Helps find vegan and vegetarian restaurants near you.

  • Forks Over Knives: Offers plant-based recipes and tips.

  • Veggly: A dating app for vegetarians and vegans.

Websites and Resources:

What About Pets?

One of the most fascinating parts of this idea is how it affects our relationship with pets.

If your dog could say, “I don’t like this food” or “I’m scared of the vacuum,” wouldn’t you listen?

Benefits of Talking Pets:

  • Better care: You’d know exactly when they’re in pain or happy.

  • Deeper connection: They’d become more like companions than animals.

  • New careers: Pet therapists and interpreters might become a thing!

On the flip side, some owners might feel judged. A parrot saying, “You never clean my cage” could cause guilt or embarrassment.

Would Humans Lose Their “Top Spot”?

A major fear might be losing dominance. If animals can talk, they might ask for rights, land, or protection.

Could we end up negotiating with cows about grazing laws? Might elephants form their own government? These questions might sound funny, but they raise real concerns about how we treat other species.

Final Thoughts: A Shift in Consciousness

The question “Would we still eat animals if they could talk?” is more than science fiction. It forces us to confront how we treat beings without voices.

We already know animals feel pain, joy, and grief. The only difference is that they can’t explain it in words we understand. If they could, many of us might find it harder to justify eating them.

But you don’t have to wait for animals to speak to make a change. Listening to your conscience, learning more, and exploring plant-based options can be a good start.

What You Can Do Today

Here are some simple actions to reflect on this thought experiment:

  • Try Meatless Mondays: Go plant-based one day a week.

  • Visit a farm sanctuary: Meet animals in peaceful environments.

  • Watch documentaries: Try Dominion, Earthlings, or Cowspiracy.

  • Talk about it: Share this idea with friends and hear their opinions.

Whether or not animals ever speak, we have the ability to speak for them now.
