Master (Chapter Six)

Theory of Love

Dave was going through some books which were recommended by Paul to him. He opened his computer and started researching about Theory of Forms when suddenly he came through a website that read "Theory of Love". He opened the website. It was a website where he could read different poetries. Deeply inspired and absorbed by what he read, he decided to write his own poem.

After finishing the poem, he was amazed by what he had written. It was as if his brain had made a child out of his imagination. That was the first time Dave had written something solely for the sake of writing. He then made that a habit and started writing more and more literature. From poems to novels, Dave was an absolute stunner.

Dave came back to the present world. Amy and Dave were invited for a family dinner by Olivia and her husband.

Olivia had married Seth. Seth was the son of the business partner of Olivia's father, Sam. He was running a Tech Company. Sam gave Dave the idea of starting a writing business because of his beautiful writing skills and determination.

Dave got a text from Olivia. She sent him a photo with Seth and mentioned that she was waiting eagerly to meet with Amy. Dave smiled after looking at her picture. It seemed like he still had feelings for Olivia.

End of Chapter Six

The next chapter will be started by pausing the current story and a new story will be started where the topic of discussion will mainly be Paul Dawson.

Master (Chapter Five)

Fateful encounter

After handing over his test to Paul, Dave was a bit shaking because he thought that Paul might have caught him cheating but to his surprise, he was saved. Paul then asked the students some questions about their life.

They were a mix of personal and academic questions. After judging their answers, he found out that Dave had an ample interest in studying Chemistry. David even told him about the stories of the Alchemists who were the old generation "Chemists" and the scientists who were working on the Elixir of Life and the Philosopher's Stone.

Paul asked Dave to meet him outside the school during the weekend.

"I want to teach you something that cannot be taught in the classroom. It is something related to Magic."

"Magic?", said Dave

"Yes, David. And do you know what Magic is?"

"It is something that is not real."

"How do you define something real? Do you think that the world we see, and what we perceive, does that seem real to you?"

"I believe so."

"No, it is not. Have you read about Plato's Theory of Forms?"

"If that is something related to Philosophy, I haven't taken a single Philosophy class yet. So, I don't know anything about that, sorry!"

"Don't be! Your first task would be to do some research related to the Theory of Forms."

Then Paul went to his car and disappeared in a flash.

Dave reached his home and was in his bed. He was reading a magazine when the words of Paul disturbed his peace.

"What is the Theory of Forms? And more importantly, why does he want me to learn magic!!", thought Dave and went to sleep.

Master (Chapter Four)

The Introductory Test

Paul was sitting in the cafeteria. He always loved drinking a cup of coffee before giving any lecture. He never smoked and was against smoking. Once, he caught a few students of his outside the school, smoking. He approached and scolded them. He was not just a teacher in the classroom but he was a mentor, or rather a master, outside the classroom as well.

He had done a Major in Chemistry and was a Harvard graduate. He had his own personality. Paul was different from other teachers. He taught more from his heart rather than the book. His love for Chemistry made him a teacher in the end. He wanted to pass on his knowledge of Chemistry to the future generation and he thought that teaching was the only way he could achieve that goal.

Dave was sitting in the classroom with Olivia. Olivia was his friend and they knew each other for around five years. She was a bright student and he never caught up to her academic skills. However, she was an extremely anti-social girl. Yet, she always felt comfortable around David. Dave, on the other hand, admired and respected her. They were not only academic friends, but their mothers were close friends with each other.

As soon as the test started, Dave started worrying and was stressed out as to what he saw. But, he looked at Olivia and she quickly filled the answer sheet.

"Man, you're smart, Olive."

"Haha! You didn't study again, did you?"

"Na, I slept all day."

"Here, copy mine."

He quickly copied the answers and submitted the answer sheet to Paul. Paul gazed at Dave and said something.

What did Paul say to Dave? Read the next chapter to find out!
